U.S. News & World Report's 2023-2024 Best High School Rankings

Bergenfield, NJ (September 15, 2023) – For the eighth year in a row, Bergenfield High School has been ranked among the top high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. BHS was recognized as 1,196th in the nation, 53rd in the state, and 13th in Bergen County in the “2023-24 Best High Schools” rankings.

The “2023-24 Best High Schools” rankings evaluated data on approximately 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked based on six weighted factors: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.

Bergenfield High School’s College Readiness Index Rank was 841st in the country and 40th in the state, while the school’s College Curriculum Breadth Index Rank was 820th in the U.S. and 44th in New Jersey.
